Sleeping Brother

This was the first image taken with the 600 Black and White on Black, that took sneakily of my brother before christmas (21st December). If he had been awake I am sure that I would have been put head first in he pond

Old Leigh.

Taken using Impossible film PX 680 cool black and white. I love the black and white film. I love the detail you can pick up in it, rather then colour, when you can get a little distracted by the vibrance of the image, rather then the moment.

The PX 680 cool black and white gives great images. The down side is the colours shift in the first month of the image being taken. The way to prevent this is to use a draw age kit, AKA a sealable air tight plastic bag and silicon. This technic works well and prevents the image turning sepia tones. 

Just remember to make sure the bag is sealed if you take the photos out other wise the below happens. This is trial and error, experimenting and trying new things, thats what photography is all about.

Photos should be natural, they should capture a moment. posing portraits don't really show a person as they are.

My slowly growing collection of sketchbooks and my Olympus Trip camera.

The Olympus camera must be nearly 35 years old. it has been on every school trip and holiday that my brother and myself have been on growing up.

Still get great results from it. Best buy my mum made.

Studio I

While doing some drawing yesterday, I used the last polaroid photo in the cartridge. 

I am liking how this came out. The cup of water from my water colour paints, glass with my brushes and pencils,  wooden jointed hand, and a jar with old keys, one part of the wall of my flat is covered with photos post cards and cuttings form magazines, its my inspiration. It also makes the place feel like home.

I think this is my 5th pack of polaroid film form Impossible film. Its a hobby that I'm really enjoying. I need to gat an album to put them in and create a book of them.

Impossible Project Gallery

I put most of my Polaroid photos on the Impossible gallery.

after spending a day out with my camera I started putting them on the sight through their app. When I went on to the sight I found my photos on the first page of their gallery.

It made me smile. :-)

Impossible film PX 680 Black and White Cool.
I love the result of this film, but the only thing is that the color on these older films from the company where unstable so that the colors would change and oxidize. I put them in to a sealed pack with silicon as recommended. after 2 weeks I took them out to show them to a friend but I did not seal the bag completely. resulting in the photo below.

It kind of dates the photo dramatically. The spots on it are crystallization from the reaction of silicon and the photo chemicals.

Empty Windows

A long the sea front of Leigh-On-Sea and and Southend you can find the Victorian shelters. most of them painted blue and white and missing the glass, well I say glass its perspex, and what is left is scratched, cracked and has graffiti over it.

This shelter is situated in Old Leigh between Leigh and Chalkwell train station.

Looking Out To Sea

For best results for taking a Polaroid photo you are meant to take the photo with the man light source behind you. But her i kind of forgot and the sun was in front of me, but still I got a pretty good result.

In the trees

Random things found in tress. A part of me thinks, 'I wonder how that got there' a bit like a child, another thinks 'people are fucking vandles'. While a artistic part of me screams ' Kodak moment, wheres the camera or sketch book"

Artists notes

just finishing a three day weekend so nice. 
Been getting in to taking Polaroid photos been using colour Impossible film from https://www.the-impossible-project.com/ . being impressed with the result, I brought a black and white cool shade pack. the result is good.
the only thing with the black and white is that it starts to change to serape due to humidity and temperature. so after doing a little research on their site they are now in a bag with a silicon pack. they have to stay in there for a month. this tacks out the moister from the photo fixing it making it last longer.
I left them over night on the desk in a warm room next to the computer, silly thing to do as with in 24hrs i found that the B&W pictures had stared to change colour. but after them being in a my make sift 'dry age kit'. my be its just my eye site but is seams to have slightly reversed the effects. cant wait to see if this works when i tack them out.
the one down side to this little hobby is it is expensive, but makes me smile to see them develop. Want to see more?http://www.facebook.com/mytheoryofthecrows
